Skype in the Classroom

This week, Sunnyland 4th graders will be participating in a Mystery Skype with another class in the United States!

Here is how two classes, one in California and one in New Zealand, connected via Skype!

We can also use Skype to connect with scientists, engineers, computer programmers, authors, artists...just about anyone!

Please comment! Who are some people we should connect with over Skype? What are some questions you would want to ask them?

  1. Dear Mr. Pahl
It would be fun to do this again since we did this in 3rd grade. We had a pen pal like a mystery Skype buddy. It would be fun collaborating with each other to see where they live in New Zealand and in California.

    1. Hi Miranda,

We'll talk about it more tomorrow. We both have a list of the same questions we will ask. We have to guess where in the US they are and they have to guess where in the US we are. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FUN.

  6. Dear Mr. Pahl I really liked the video of all those kids learning but learning while having fun, because if they were having fun while doing math then they’ll want to do math more and more until they rise to the top with all of their math skills. So I think that the video inspired me to want to do more math. So thank you for putting that video out there it really helped. Best Wishes, Hannah
