What Did You Do Over Spring Break?

Several students have been asking about a post where they could discuss what they did over Spring Break. Well, here it is!

Do you know what I did?

I got my garden ready for this year! I moved A LOT of dirt and wood chips. Oh what fun!

  1. Dear class,
What I did over spring break was played video games, rode my scooter, played with toys, ate and went to sleep. The three favorite things I did were video games, eat and sleep. That’s my favorite spring break. You guys must have had a good spring break to. What were three favorite things you did?

    1. Wow, that sounds like so much fun! A five day sleepover?? I can't remember the last time I had a two day sleepover at one of my friend's houses. I bet that was the best spring break ever.

Over my spring break I stayed in my apartment and watched a lot of TV. I didn't go home to visit my family, so my mom wasn't asking me to do chores all the time. It was awesome!

I love doing that. I did it for camping at Bell fair so people can see me.
It’s a very good way for people so they can see your children or something.

  6. Dear 4th graders,
This spring break I did ALOT! Every day I was busy. I only got a break when I slept.
This spring break was action, adventure, and fun. On Monday my mom, my nana, my mom’s friends Ruston Blankenship, Howie Welsh, Penny Kennedy, and more and I did the Squires Lake Hike. It felt like an adventure because me and our friend Kyle’s son were running the whole time along beside me. I felt like it was Katniss and Petta. Then on Tuesday I went swimming at Arnne Hannah Aquatic Center. On Wednesday, Alanis, her family, my mom, and I went up to Mount Backer to go sledding. My mom and I had a big slope that we went down. We both face planted in to the snow. Our tailbones still hurt. Also she kicked me in the head…Ochhhh. Then on Thursday, I just stayed at home and played outside. On Friday, Alanis, my mom, my nana, and I went to Woodland Park Zoo. The weekend was just like any normal weekend.
What was your favorite park of spring break? Why? Who were you with? What were you doing?

    1. Tori,

I absolutely love that you felt like Katniss and Peeta during your hike. Have you read the series of books or just have seen the movies? Both are amazing I would recommend reading all three! I pretend to be Katniss all the time, my friend has a bow and arrow and we will practice shooting targets with it. Sounds like the rest of your break was super jam packed of fun activities, I'm jealous! I had a good spring break. I went camping up at Mount Baker and went snowboarding, then went home to where I am from and spent time with friends and family.

    2. Dear Megan,
That sounds super fun. I have read all three books and seen all the movies but the third because well it’s not out. Have you read all the books and seen the movies? My favorite book and movie was “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. “ I liked them because they tied up more loose ends then the first book and movie.

I had a lot of fun with my two good friends Julia (5th grade) and Ella (3rd grade). One day we were at Ella’s house and we went on the trampoline spraying each other with freezing water from the hose. After that we took a dip in the warm hot tub. Finally at about 6:00 p.m. we jumped pack on the trampoline. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!! Until I had to go home.

Wow! That sounds like a really fun spring break. I went to Disneyland and California Adventure a few years ago and my favorite part was the World of Color. When I came home from my trip I showed my friends videos of World of Color on YouTube because I thought it was so cool. I didn't get to do anything nearly that fun this spring break. Thanks for sharing!

  11. Over spring break I planted new plants in my pots of flowers. Also I harvest some plants that I secretly planted. I think that it was really fun getting to dig out the roots and plant them in a bigger pot. Also next summer when the plants get bigger I’ll plant them in my garden. I can’t wait until summer. Great Wishes, Hannah

    1. Dear Hannah, I to planted flowers over spring break! I am not much of a gardener and they have already died on me. I tried bringing them back to life with lots of water but all that ended up doing was flooding the pot and making a big mess. Hope your plants do better than mine! What kind are you growing?

  16. Dear Mr. Pahl,
I know it’s a little too late to be commenting on this post but for spring break I had my BIRTHDAY! YAY! Neri and I celebrated my birthday at April 1st (even though my birthday is 4 days after) at Bellis Fair mall, and bought a bunch of toys and clothes or accessories. After my birthday, my family and my brother, Charles’ friend hiked at Mt. Baker. During that week I played Minecraft, Roblox, and logged on to Facebook every day.
