Tubing Time by Sarah

Sarah enjoyed using Animoto so much that she asked her parents to download the Animoto app. After a great time tubing at Cypress Mountain outside Vancouver, B.C., she learned how to use the app to make this video of her time there.

This weekend, I went to Cypress Mountain up in Vancouver. It was very scary at first, but it was actually super-duper fun. My favorite part was when I went down the hill with my mom. Our tubes were connected, and we were holding on to each other's feet, so we didn't crash! We were going pretty fast! My dad was there, too. He bruised his tailbone in the process. (But don't worry, you won't bruise your tailbone if you do it right.) I would recommend it, even though the drive up there is so boring.

Sarah, thanks for sharing your adventure with us, and thank you for taking the time to create a video about it! I hope other students will try to do the same thing. -Mr. Pahl

  2. Sara, this looks like a lot of fun! My name is Matt and I am in Mr. Pahl's college class learning to become a teacher. I really liked the video of you going down the slide. It looks pretty scary! Do you go on family vacations often? My favorite place to vacation with my family is Disneyland! Have you been there before?

  3. Sarah, this trip looks like a lot of fun and exciting! Did you go to Canada to do this? What was your experience like tubing? Was it scary? My name is Julia and I am in Mr. Pahl's class at Western. I just wanted to say that I loved this video and it makes me want to go tubing sometime.

  4. Sarah, this looks like it was so much fun! I loved how you put the video together, it looks much better then the Animoto video I made for Mr. Pahl's class at Western Washington University. I've never heard of Cypress Mountain, but I certainly want to go there now! Do you have any suggestions for how to not bruise your tailbone? I'd rather not bruise mine :).

    1. Dear Ellis,
Yes, tubing was very fun. I think that you should try it try it sometime.
We (as in my mom, dad, and I), drove up to Cypress Mountain National Tubing Park. It’s about an hour and a half away from Bellingham.
We were going very fast at first, but then I got kind of used to it,
      Sincerely,
      Sarah.M

That’s great! I promise you you’ll love it. (That is, if you like fast rides). Do you like fast rides?

    4. Dear, Sarah
Yes I do like going fast but not on a roller coaster that just makes me get sick.
      Sincerely Ellis,

    5. Dear Ellis,
Same here. I don’t mind just going straight forward while going fast but I do mind going fast if you set me on a roller coaster that goes up, down, left and right, sideways and upside down; then I would definitely freak out!
      Sincerely,
      Sarah M.

  7. Dear Sarah,
That looks so cool there because it's burning hot here in Vietnam. You go tubing, and I go water-sliding.
And Sarah where did you go tubing? Was it fun, cause it looks fun! Plus I'm going to Animoto and make a video about how hot and fun Vietnam is!

    1. Dear Elizabeth,
That’s funny because it’s freezing cold up in this area. Actually, you’re lucky that you have warm weather. I think that it is really cool that you can go water sliding.
Tubing was very fun. My mom, dad, and I, all drove up to Cypress Mountain National Tubing Park in Canada, WA.
I can’t wait to see your video.
      Sincerely,
      Sarah.M

  8. Dear Sara,

That did look super-duper fun! I hope that you did actually eat the hot dog. And sorry the drive was gruesome, but that arch that I’m forgetting the name of right now looked pretty interesting.

  9. Dear Sarah,
I went sledding once and I went with my mom so it was kind of scary, so first we got on the sled and then we went down. We felt a bump and I flew over and my face was in the snow and she hurt my arm real bad.
    Sincerely, Evyn

  12. Dear Sarah,
I have a question… how did that hotdog taste? Also did it hurt when you went tubing or not? Did you have the time of your life? I sure hope so!
