  1. Dear Mr. Pahl,
I was thinking of doing “How Does Magnetism Work?” for my science idea. I would like to learn more about magnetism and what creates the magnet’s force. I am excited to become a young expert on magnets.

    1. Dear Sam,
Magnets fascinate me, too! Have you had a chance to play with Bucky balls? Bucky balls are composed of molecules of carbon of a specific crystal structure. It is weird to me that they are magnetic because usually we think of metals as being magnetic and carbon is not a metal.
I'm excited to hear how this goes and what you find out about magnets!

  2. Dear fourth graders,
I think that using science buddies is a great way to use it because it gives you a lot of information for a project.
