Mr. Pahl Has A New Daughter!

Grace Ann was born at 9:58 on Saturday morning. Mom and baby are doing terrific. Mrs. "B" will be with you the next couple of weeks while I am at home helping Lynnelle and spending time getting to know my new baby girl. I will miss you, but I'll see you soon. Here are a few pictures.

Sincerely,
Mr. Pahl

Not long after she was born. She is doing what little babies do most: sleep.

Luna was thrilled to meet her new little sister.

Daddy is pretty excited, too.

Luna sang "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and Grace stopped crying. She takes the big sister thing pretty seriously.

Chillin' with dad on Day 2.

"Daddy, stop taking so many pictures!"

Taking a snooze.

  3. @Shark Fin: Thanks for writing! I think she is pretty cute, too. She makes neat, squeaky noises and smacks her lips a lot. It makes me laugh. Of course, she cries, too, when she is hungry. Little babies are so precious. Third and fourth graders aren't bad either. :-) I hope you had a great Spring Break, and I can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks. Say hi to your mom and dad and sister.
    Sincerely,
    Mr. Pahl

  4. @Dawn: Hi! Thank you. It's still sinking in that there are two of them. Luna is completely thrilled to be a big sister. She keeps calling Grace "my baby" or "my baby, Grace." She has already "read" Hug to her. She just loves the book. Thanks so much to you all for giving it to her. I am excited for the days, weeks, months, etc. to come. However, I am not so thrilled about the lack of sleep! :-)
    Thank you again,
    Mr. Pahl

  13. Dear Mr. Pahl,

I bet it is hard having a baby and not teaching your students and taking care of her must be hard because you may have a hard time having her go to sleep at night. I also think that Luna will make a good big sister. The whole class misses you.

  18. Hi Sigame,

Thank you! Yes, my wife and I are extremely happy to have another daughter. My wife, Lynnelle, has a younger sister and thinks that sisters are really special, so she is especially pleased that we have another little girl. It didn't matter to me whether we had a boy or girl. I just wanted to have another child. Growing up, I didn't have brothers or sisters. It was pretty lonely. It's good to know Luna and Grace have each other. So far, Luna absolutely LOVES being a big sister. I am really looking forward to seeing them grow up together.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Pahl
