Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I drove to a movie called “Monuments Men.” I went with my step-dad Paul and my mom Christine. Also this weekend I watched the Olympics on my TV. I enjoy watching the figure skating. I dance with the music in my living room. The next day on Sunday I went to church with my mom. We read Ephesians 1:1 – 2:1. Then in Sunday school we practiced for an event at my church on the 23rd I think. I have the music that I practice as homework a lot. After church Charlize and I video chatted on Skype. I had been on Facebook for most of the day. Then my Mom and I went and got my nana from the bus station because she just got back from Yakima. We took her home then we had gone home and watched more of the Olympics. I had a really good time this weekend. What did you do this weekend?
From,
Tori
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I drove 500 miles down South to Graham to see my step dad!
- Mike
Wow, Mike. That was a long drive. I hope you had a good time. I'm sorry your dad is so far away. Do you get to see him often? By the way, thanks for your reply to my post!
DeleteFrom,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mike,
DeleteThat is amazing my dad is in Washington D.C right now. So he will not be back for a while. My dad still sends me videos of Washington D.C.
Sincerely, Mattias
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteOne thing I did this weekend was I watched Once Upon A Time (That is my favorite show). Another thing I did this weekend is I did a lot and a lot of art. Those are some things that I did this weekend.
From, Asher
Hi Asher,
DeleteI haven't seen Once Upon A Time. Is it a movie or a TV show? It's great that were able to do art. I like to color with Luna and Grace. Sometimes we paint, too. What kind of art did you do?
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl
ReplyDeleteIt must have been fun going to the nook sack river on the weekend with your daughter and those tracks were mysterious did you find out what those tracks were from? They were amazing you must have had fun!
From Danny,
Hi Danny,
DeleteYes, I love it there! My daughters, Luna and Grace, had a lot of fun, too. They liked the eagles but I think they enjoyed throwing rocks in the river more than anything. They had a contest to see who could make the biggest splash!
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend it was my last time to see my dad before he took a plane to Washington D.C. I also found out that my mom downloaded the Kan academy app on my I. Pad mini.
From, Mattias
Hi Mattias,
DeleteThanks for writing. Your dad gets to go to Washington, DC? That sounds like fun. It is a wonderful city. Do you get to visit him there? I hope he isn't gone too long. Oh, you are going to love the Khan Academy. There are a TON of great math and computer science activities.
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
DeleteNo I do not get to visit him but he does send videos. The snow there was 2 feet deep and it only took an hour. I hope he comes back soon.
Sincerely, Mattias
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I saw the Lego movie. My baby sister Evalyn could not sit through the whole movie. But we still saw the whole movie.
From, Tim
Hi Tim,
DeleteI had the same experience recently. We took the girls to see Frozen, but Grace, who is only 2, couldn't sit still that long. How did you like the movie? I am thinking of going to see it.
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThat really looks fun I hope I can go there someday. What I did this weekend was make cupcakes with my cousin for my little sister’s birth day. Everyone loved the cupcakes, but I think we could have done better with decorating.
Sincerely Izabelle,
Hi Izabelle,
DeleteWhere is my cupcake? I love cupcakes! Just kidding. Well, I like cupcakes; I'm not kidding about that! ANYWAY, that was nice of you. I hope it was a good birthday!
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteI like how a student (Sarah) inspired you to make the slide show of you and your family at the Nooksack river. Because I don’t see teachers do that much.
Sincerely, Jaymeson
Hi Jaymeson,
DeleteWhat do you mean? You see me doing all kinds of things everyday!
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteWhat I did this weekend was, my family drove to my dad’s Friends house for the weekend. My dad’s friend is Mike. My dad Todd donated a kidney to Mike. If my dad didn’t donate a kidney Mike would have died. I would have felt sad if Mike died. But at Mike’s house we ate an early thanksgiving dinner. It was actually his parents’ house. It was a scrumptious dinner. We all ate turkey, strawberries, and stuffing. Also don’t forget the rolls. The condo had an air hockey table. My mom and I also my dad played air hockey. There were different shapes of the puck. It was absolutely fantastic!
Sincerely, Eli
Hi Eli!
DeleteThis is so incredibly nice of your dad. I bet you feel really proud of him and maybe a little scared. I hope the surgery went well and that your dad and Mike are feeling better soon. I have a friend who needs a kidney, too. I hope he can find a good donor soon. It sounds like you had a great time even though everyone must have been feeling a little tense. Please let me know if your family needs anything while your dad is recuperating.
Sincerely,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I got a new pair of pink and white roller skates. Also I drove to my consoler’s office. Also I went on Glogstr and made a new glog!!!
From Cam
Dear Cam,
DeleteI got a pair of pink and Wight skates for Christmas. Aren’t they so much fun? I can’t wait to go to the skating ring. I wonder if they are the same skates. I hope you have fun with your new skates.
From kayden,
Hi Cam,
DeleteI wish I had roller skates. Do you skate outside or in a rink? Lucky you! That's great that you made a new Glog, too. I can't wait to see it.
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend my mom had to baby set my younger cuisines. When my uncle came to pick up my cuisines he told them to put on their shoes. While they were putting on their shoes my uncle walked outside for a minute. Then he whispered Megan, Kayden look there’s four deer right down stairs. So we got up and walked outside. We looked for a minute then my uncle said lets go chase them. Then we all ran inside, put on our jackets and ran down the stairs. We stated to chase them but then they looked like they were going to kick use so we ran inside.
From Kayden,
Dear Kayden,
DeleteWhat an adventure! Were the dear all adults or did some of them look like babies? A mama and her baby used to come eat the blackberry bush near my house all the time but I haven't seen them in a long time. Our dog may have scared them off.
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Kayden,
DeleteWhat an amazing experience! In the few times I have been able to be up close and personal with deer I felt so lucky. One of my favorite things to do when I am around wildlife is to see how long I can be close to them. Sometimes I even try to blend in with my environment or camouflage myself. This way I can watch how they interact with each other.
What did you notice about what the deer were doing?
From,
Isabel (Mr. Pahl's Western student)
Dear Isabel,
DeleteThe deer were making weird Questioning faces. I was pretty shore they were thinking what are we going to do? What is happening?
From Kayden,
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteLast weekend I went friend’s house and we watched a movie called Up. I also ate cake and played basketball. Also, we drank pop. We walked to the store and bout lots of jelly beans.
Sincerely: Gavin
Dear Gavin,
DeleteIt sounds like you had a day of SUGAR OVERLOAD. I guess that is what weekends are for. I hope you had fun. Did you like Up? I really enjoyed that movie.
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteHere’s what I did this weekend. First, My dad and I drove to my aunt Jessica’s house, so I could stay the night. Finally I went to my grandma’s house. And finally I went to Menchies. I had so much fun!
Sincerely, Amaya
Hi Amaya,
DeleteYou were busy! Menchies is DELICIOUS isn't it? You have to be careful not to add too much to your bowl there or it will cost a fortune. What flavor do you like?
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr. Pahl,
DeleteThe flavor I liked was kiwi strawberry!
Amaya
What I did this weekend was going to two for one bowling and going we got ice cream and got a 16GB for my 3DS. It was a very fun weekend but the down side was I had to pick out a card for my grandparents.
ReplyDeletefrom: Jackson
Dear Jackson,
DeleteThanks for writing. Where do you go bowling? Do you use the bumpers or do you bowl without bumpers? I don't understand why picking out a card for your grandparents would be a downside. Can you explain? Grandparents rock, dude.
From,
Mr. Pahl
Dear Mr.Pahl,
ReplyDeleteYour video/slideshow was cool! It looked very fun. I wish I could have done that this weekend.
From,
Alanis.
Dear 4th graders,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend my family, my Uncle Ethan, and I drove to Whatcom Falls to go hiking. My brothers and I threw rocks to see who can throw the farthest. We took pictures and hiked. It was really fun to spend with my family.
Sincerely,
Charlize
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I saw the new movie “Son of God.” I really liked it. I saw it with my Mom Christine, My step-dad Paul, and my nana Dianne. We all really enjoyed it. It’s about the rising of Jesus dyeing on the cross. I really liked the movie because I knew a lot of the scripture. I even called John 1:1 before my step –dad (Who reads the bible at work all the time.)
From,
Tori
Dear Mr. Pahl,
ReplyDeleteSome of the deer looked like babies and some looked kind of in the middle. That was probably the first time I have seen that many deer that close up. Usually I don’t see many deer back behind my house.
From Kayden,
