Third and Fourth Grade
I have known about this tool for some time, but haven't really used it much until now. Wordle is a fun, free Web 2.0 tool for creating word "clouds" from text. The students wrote short pieces about what they thought of third and fourth grade to this point. I copied what they wrote and pasted into Wordle, and this is what was created. The words that are the largest are the words that students used most often.

Just below the Comment Box is a drop down menu. Select "Anonymous" from the choices; it is the last choice on the list. Then click "Post Comment." In order for your comment to be approved and posted, you should see a message highlighted in yellow that says "Your comment will appear after moderation." If you see a red line after you click Post Comment, your comment did not go through for some reason. Try it again until you see the message highlighted in yellow.

I really like the 4th grade word thing it has a cool shape but there's much more words on the 3rd grade word thing than the forth word thing.
